Sales
Process
1.
Use Sales Receipt Books to record each item(s) including:

2.
Add prices to get
Subtotal, Add 5% Tax and then Total
3.
Ask customers payment method

Cash – Make

4.
Put Original
Sales, Credit slips and Cash into cash
box
5.
Hand customer COPY of Sales Receipt(s)

Wrapping
6.
Wrap each item(s)
carefully in tissue or bubble wrap
7.
Place in plastic
bags if small or paper bags if large
8.
Hand items to
customer and Thank them for their purchase
Opening & Closing “The Store”
Opening:
· Upon opening the booth & “store” check to see that
all the previous days’ sales receipts and credit card receipts have been put into the nightly-drop envelopes marked. If not, do so now.
· Count cash. There should be $100.00 in paper money (don’t count coinage)
to make change for the day. Put excess
into prior day’s envelope. If discrepancies, write note with your initials
and place in today’s cash envelope.
· Check to be sure you have located supply of sales
books, credit card slips and imprinter, calculator and pens.
· Roll up blue tarps and tie “up” out of the way. Tidy
up display area and Demo area as needed.
Closing:
· Put all
sales slips, credit card slips and cash from sales made that day into the dated
envelope. Leave $100 in various paper
money denominations (don’t count coinage) for change for the next day.
· If no arrangements otherwise. Put all into the cash box and “hide” under tables overnight.
· Note: All monies and slips will need to be delivered
to the Sales Coordinator for processing.
New Inventory:
When
members bring additional inventory it must be marked with the a)Member ID#, b) Item serial # and c)sales
price & should be displayed.
One copy of their
inventory list should be put into the cash box and another given to Sales Coordinator

When
writing a sales slip
1. Each line item should include:
i. Credit Card Number REQUIRED
ii. Sales $ Amount REQUIRED
iii. Expiration date – Month & Year REQUIRED
i. Zip Code of Billing Address REQUIRED
ii. First and Last Name REQUIRED
iii. CVV2 Security code (back of card) REQUIRED
