ART – Sales Event
Inventory Management Information

Each member putting inventory into the show must:

  1. Work the show for at least 2 shifts, preferably 4 or more.
*If you have “a lot of inventory” you should expect to work additional shifts.
Remember - To Demo you MUST be an AAW member for insurance reasons.
See current at: schedule  --> and other info at: http://www.eaton9999.com/org/art/art_marshfield_info.htm
  2. Provide 2 copies of an Inventory Sheet. (get xls file here) One to be held at the show for reference,
the other to be delivered to the Sales Coordinator (Dave Eaton) for sales record reconciliation use.
  3. Tag every piece of inventory with 1) member ID, 2) Selling Price and 3) Item Number as follows:

Member ID

This is the 3 digit ART ID number assigned to you, such as “115”.
You may append your initials such as “115 DE” for additional clarity.
PS: We're "flexible on this." YOUR ID MUST BE UNIQUE!

(See Membership ID list for your number )

Selling price

Price of item, excluding 5% MA sales tax.
Tax will be added to the invoice total. Do not add it into the price on the tag.
It is recommended that prices be kept to 25 cent increments, such as “$1.25”, “$3.50”, “$5.75” or “$2.00”.

Item number

A unique item number for each piece.
The exception is; for multiple, identical items with the same price, one number can be assigned for all. Such as pens might be “#12” or bottle stoppers “#9”, etc.

Tags ??

Best recommendation is: Use small Avery Removable labels for tags on larger items, such as Avery #5418, ½” x Ύ inch labels. For small items you may tie on a “Jewelry Tag” similar in size. These are available at Staples office supply and probably Office Depot, etc.

BE SURE TAGS ARE SECURE!!!

It is your responsibility to deliver your properly marked inventory AND inventory sheets to the show on Friday 8/19 before the opening at 10:00am.

All inventory left at the show remains your responsibility. Neither ART, the members working the booth nor the Local Sales Organizer are to be held responsible for it.

The members on duty will of course take due care to protect and sell everything! But “you never know what unforeseen situation may arise.” Security Guards patrol the Fairgrounds and as a bonus we are just across the road from their headquarters and the First Aid Station.
